My blogging as well as my writing has been pushed to the back seat. I am busy trying to sort out children and build myself an office. On Friday I am off to Rustenburg South Africa to sleep in a tent (Eish! in this coldness!?!) and attend the World Cup match between Ghana and Australia.
So please take pity on me. Next week I hope to be back to work and blogging.
Wish me luck.... and Ghana too! (Sorry all my Aussie friends, I need to be an African for this game)
In the meanwhile here is the second review I've seen for Kwaito Love in our national daily private paper, Mmegi.
Great review! Have fun. Stay dry. Stay safe. Go Ghana!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue!
ReplyDeleteGreat! glad to know you're going to games. Taking ear plugs? Did the two Princes come anywhere near where you live?
ReplyDeleteAgree that every once in a while an office needs to be built/rebuilt. Freshens energy in the space!
Good to see reviews.
and..., d luv the gnu look!!!
ReplyDeleteSo good you can make it to the games. I hope you will stay warm overnight in your tent. Good luck to your team.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, getting to see World Cup live >:)
ReplyDeleteCold As Heaven
Awesome! I think Ghana have a good chance actually ;-)
ReplyDeleteLoving your new blog design.
(Elle from Australia)
Bonita- the Princes were in Gaborone when we were there to collect my daughter but we didn't see them.
ReplyDeleteI am a serious technoidiot but blogger had new templates so I tried. I like the lighter colour too only I wish I could get rid of the birds at the top and make the head go straight across but it doesn't seem possible.
How totally cool that you're off to the World Cup! Do me a favor and don't blow one of those horns. I was watching a game on TV and finally turned the channel. The horns were buzzing so loud, I just couldn't take it anymore.
ReplyDeleteOther than that, have fun!
Good luck with the cold camping, and the vuvuzelas! While you are away, I have to still catch up on the rest of your trip to egypt!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like fun. Hope you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteI was surprised that the vuvuzelas are not very loud at the game. People have made so much hype about them but they are not loud and you don't need ear plugs. And they add so much to the experience.
ReplyDeleteI think the vuvuzelas are cool. It's one of the things that makes South African soccer fans different from the fans in Italy (where they sing Verdi's Triumphal March), in England and so on.
ReplyDeleteThe only impressing feature of the English performance in WC so far, is the way the supporters sing the national anthem before the game.
By the way, I have a cool story about the crash between English and American soccer culture that I observed in a kids match in Colorado 10 years ago ... will write a blog post about it some time ... >:)
