My Name is Lauri Kubuitsile and I am an Exercise DVD Addict

You wouldn't know it by looking at me, but I love exercise DVDs. I like to exercise, the problem is I like to eat too so I never see any dramatic change except in my attitude. Exercise is my happy pill.

For years it was Jane and I:

Then I got Jillian Micheals, who was frankly kind of scary.

But now I've fallen in love! Thanks to a Facebook friend I now have Richard Simmons' Sweating to the Oldies. What fun!! I've become a complete addict. I have to stop myself from doing it everyday because I fear I'll get bored . It just makes me happy to wake up and dance to such fun music. What could be more fun than doing the twist, monkey and the cha cha cha before breakfast?? Luckily there are four different DVDs in the set I bought so I get to alternate them. Yeah for Richard Simmons!!

Hi Lauri!

I have recently delved into the world of workout DVDs - the gym became a bit too costly ...

I did the Tracy Anderson Bootcamp exercise DVD for 30 days (and documented it on my blog), the exercises were good but the cardio was so dull - I like a bit of a boogie too!

We are now going to try Strictly Come Dancer-sise, which incorporates the cha-cha, jive and other ballroom dance moves into a workout ... will see how that goes!

keep sweating it out! Richard Simmons is a freak of nature, a weird but brilliant little man:)

I must look for that Strictly come Dancing one. A friend is currently taking Cuban dancing lessons which I would love but live in a village that doesn't have such things. But I was thinking of looking for a DVD for that one. It really must be something you enjoy or you just won't do it. I pop out of bed excited for my appointment with dear little Richard.

I love Richard Simmon's music selections on his DVD/videos. My niece used to have several.

Val I bought the 5 DVD set from Exclusive online and it was delivered right to my house in Mahalapye. One is him talking but the other four are excercising. Number two is a bit differnt as it has toning and weight lifting so I do that one more often and then alternate the others, occasionally slip in a Jane for some weight lifting. The big thing they say now is that as we age keeping muscles is very important, so I'm trying my best.
